Palliative Care

Palliative Care is specialized medical care for people with a serious illness. This type of care is focused on providing comfort from the symptoms of a serious illness as well as some of the stress of that illness causes. The main goal is the improve the quality of the life for both the patient and the family.

Palliative care is provided by a specially-trained team of doctors, nurses and other specialist who work together with a patient’s other doctors to provide extra support. There is no age limitations and palliative services can be provided with curative treatment.
